Our Process
At Endless Pawsabilities Rescue Society, we are dedicated to finding each dog in our care the perfect home. In order to do so, we need to get to know the families that are interested in giving them a forever home. The first step in adopting through Endless Pawsabilities is to fill out one of our adoption applications. Our applications can be found below
Take your time and fill out the application with as much detail as possible. Our application asks for references, landlords contact information, work schedules, photos of your home and more. The more information you can supply in the application the easier it will be for our team to find the right home. This is an important first step for us to be able to evaluate whether the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your lifestyle and vice versa.
The second step is a virtual home check where we ask potential adopters to send in a short video / photos of your home plus yard. Home checks are an important part of our process. It is not meant as an invasion of your privacy! We are dedicated to finding the best homes for our dogs and seeing where an adopter lives gives us a good indication of how the dog will live as well.
After we receive your application and home check, one of our Team members will reach out to chat about the dog you are interested in. At this time we will discuss the specific needs to the individual animal and if a match, we will organize a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in! At the time of the meet and greet we need all members of the family to be present, this includes any other dogs in the household.
Once the meet and greet is complete, one of our Endless Pawsabilities Representatives will reach out to discuss the next steps. For puppies, we will supply an adoption contract and require payment before you take the little one home. For adults, we do provide a week long adoption trial and would require a trial form to be filled out. In the event that you are doing a trial with one of our animals, one of our Endless Pawsabilities team members will reach out and discuss the specific guidelines with our trials, time frame, policies, team member contact, etc
All of our Endless Pawsabilities dogs are seen by one of our partnered vets during their foster period. At this time, any other medical issues that arise are treated based on the recommendation of our vet. This could include, but not limited to, eye infections, upset stomachs, superficial wounds, etc. We ensure all of our animals are well and have a good bill of health prior to getting adopted.
Adoption Applications
We do not adopt our animals out of province but we do accept applications from outside of the lower mainland. Applicants will be responsible for their own travel arrangements. The majority of our dogs from northern Manitoba from the reserves. All of these pups are mixed breeds (usually about 5-7 different breeds) and they are usually 50 - 80 lbs when fully grown. Our rescue rarely has small dogs or hypoallergenic dogs and you may have better luck with other organizations that cater to those specifics.
If you have any questions regarding our adoption process, or to send in an application, please email us at [email protected] All of our adoptable dogs can be found on our Facebook or Instagram pages! |
